THE BOOK OF MORMON
ITS DEMONIC INSPIRATION

[Editor’s Note:
This article deals with the Nephilim or Nefilim ..supposed giants who came down rom the heavens. Let me give you a little background before you get into this special article.
In the King James Version of the Bible, "Nephilim" is translated as "giants" in the following examples.)
The term "Nephilim" occurs just twice in the Hebrew Bible, both in the Torah. The first is Genesis 6:1-4, immediately before the Noah's ark story:
1. When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them,
2. the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.
3. Then the LORD said, "My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days will be a hundred and twenty years."
4. The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.
The second is Numbers 13:32-33, where the Hebrew spies report that they have seen fearsome giants in Canaan:
32. And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, "The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size.
33. We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them."]
Now back to the article by J. Trimm, written from a Hebrew point of view.
THE BOOK OF MORMON
ITS DEMONIC INSPIRATION
The Book of Enoch --- quoted by Jude in Jude 1:14-15 = 1Enoch 1:9 ) tells how, in the days before the great flood, certain fallen angels assumed human form and took human wives:
And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters. And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: 'Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and beget us children.' (1Enoch 6:1-2 compare Gen. 6:1-2)
According to the Book of Enoch these NEFILIM (fallen angels) brought "TORAH-LESS-NESS" ( LAWLESSNESS )to the earth with them:
"And then Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Gabriel looked down from heaven and saw... all lawlessness being wrought upon the earth." (1Enoch 9:1)
The word for "lawlessness" in the ancient Greek version of 1Enoch is ANOMIAN a form of the Greek word ANOMOS. This is a Greek word formed from adding the Greek prefix "a" meaning "there is not" or "without" to the Greek word "nomos" meaning "Torah".
Because of their great sin YHWH sent to bind their leader and the rest of them for seventy generations:
"And the Lord said unto Michael: 'Go, bind Shemikhaza and his associates who have united themselves with women so as to have defiled themselves with them in all their uncleanness. And when their sons have slain one another, and they have seen the destruction of their beloved ones, bind them fast for seventy generations in the valleys of the earth,..." (1Enoch 10:11-12)
Now if one turns to Luke 3:23-37 and counts one finds exactly 69 generations from Enoch to Yeshua. This means that the Nefilim would be loosed to bring TORAH-LESS-NESS to the earth again in the generation following that of Yeshua and his immediate emissaries. Thus the Nazarene writer Hegesippus wrote in 180 C.E.:
Now according to the ancient Nazarene writer Hegesippus the apostasy of the anomians began exactly with the passing of the generation of Yeshua's immediate emissaries:
"Up to that period (98 CE) the Assembly had remained like a virgin pure and uncorrupted: for, if there were any persons who were disposed to tamper with the wholesome rule of the preaching of salvation, they still lurked in some dark place of concealment or other. But, when the sacred band of Emissaries had in various ways closed their lives, and that generation of men to whom it had been entrusted to listen to the Godlike Wisdom with their own ears had passed away, then did the confederacy of godless error take its rise through the treachery of false teachers, who, seeing that none of the apostles any longer survived, at length attempted with bare and uplifted head to oppose the preaching of the truth by preaching "knowledge falsely so called." (Hegesippus the Nazarene; c. 185 CE)
Remember Ps. 119:142, 151 "Your Torah is Truth... all of Your commandments are truth..."
The generation immediately following that of Yeshua and his emissaries, the 70th generation following Enoch, passed into the Anomian (Torah-less) apostasy.
Now we come to the Issue of Joseph Smith and his Book of Mormon.
Now when I was just a teenager and had only recently become a believer in Messiah, a girl I knew gave me a copy of the Book of Mormon to read and examine. For about a week I was fooled into thinking this book was authentic because of its apparent Hebrew nature.
One of the key elements which brought me to conclude that the Book of Mormon was not authentic was discovered by me while reading a booklet which was attempting to disprove the Book of Mormon. This booklet was comparing Book of Mormon passages to the Bible to prove that portions of it were plagiarized. I was looking at a section which compared NT quotes to Book of Mormon quotes in an effort to show that the Book of Mormon plagiarizes the NT even in its pre-NT portions.
Three of these quotes really caught my attention because they read too close to the NT text. What I mean by that is that they read just like the NT passage but had only one word different. This one word difference between the NT and the Book of Mormon passage would point to a single underlying Hebrew word. This pointed to the idea that both the Book of Mormon and the NT had originally been written in Hebrew ! ! ! The three quote sets are:
...I know whom I have believed... (2Tim. 1:12)
...I know in whom I have trusted... (2Ne. 4:19)
Underlying Hebrew: EMUNAH = trust, faith or belief
...drinketh damnation to himself... (1Cor. 11:29)
...drinketh damnation to his soul... (Mosiah 2:33)
Underlying Hebrew: NEFESH = soul, life or self
...the answer of a good conscience toward God... (1Pt. 3:21)
...answer a clear conscience before God... (Mosiah 2:15)
Underlying Hebrew: PASHAT or underlying Aramaic: PESHITA.
PASHAT/PESHITTA means simple, basic or clear. In Aramaic of the
phrase "single eye" or "good eye" has PESHITTA for "good".
Each of these three examples DO point to a Hebrew or Aramaic nature. Yet Joseph Smith's Book of Mormon clearly professes the apostate Anomian (Torah-less) doctrine:::
...that our children may know the deadness of the law; and they by knowing the deadness of the law, may look forward unto that life which is in Christ, and know for what end the law was given. And after the law is fulfilled in Christ, that they need not harden their hearts against him when the law ought to be done away.
"...you must keep the performances and ordinances of God until the law shall be fulfilled which was given to Moses." - 2Nephi 25:27, 30 (supposedly between 559 & 545 BC)
"...but I say to you, that the time shall come when it shall no more be expedient to keep the law of Moses." - Mosiah 13:27 (supposedly in 148 BC)
...they were taught to keep the law of Moses until it should be fulfilled. - Alma 30:3 (supposedly 74 BC)
"And they did not walk anymore after the performances and ordinances of the law of Moses..." - 4Nephi 1:12
So then how could it be that the Book of Mormon teaches the apostate ANOMIAN theology if it appears to have an underlying Hebrew text?
The answer is more chilling
than one might believe.
Another of Joseph Smith's alleged "revelations" was the Doctrine and Covenents.
In the "Doctrine and Covenants" we read:
Verily, verily I say unto you, that my servant Baurak Ale is the man to whom I likened the servant to whom the Lord of the vineyard spoke in the parable which I have given unto you. Therefore, let my servant Baurak Ale say unto the strength of my house, my young men and the middle-aged, Gather yourselves together unto the land of Zion, upon the land which I have bought with moneys that have been consecrated unto me; (D & C 103:21-22; RLDS 100:4-5a)
The edition of the D & C published by the LDS Church today has substituted "Joseph Smith jr." for "Baurak Ale" although the RLDS edition retains the reading as it originally read "Baurak Ale". It is universally agreed that "Baurak Ale" was a pseudonym for "Joseph Smith jr."
Now the Book of Enoch lists the names of the 20 "chiefs of tens" of the Nefilim (1Enoch 6:7-8) and right there in the list is –
a fallen angel named "Barak'el" (1Enoch 6:7).
Now you might ask why Smith has transliterated the "el" in Barak'el as "Ale". In 1835-1836 Joseph Smith studied Hebrew under Rabbi Joshua Seixas using Hebrew Grammar that Mr. Seixas had published in 1834. I have obtained a copy of that Hebrew Grammar !! On page 6 Mr. Seixas gives pronounciations for each of the Hebrew letters and vowels. The vowel for the "el" in "Barak'el" is called TSAREE and Mr. Seixas gives its pronounciation as "a" as in "ale". So Joseph Smith would almost certainly have transliterated the "el" in "Barak'el" as "Ale".
Now among the Dead Sea Scrolls was found a new section of the Book of Enoch called the "Book of Giants". In this newly discovered section of Enoch it is revealed that when Barak'el copulated with a human woman he produced a SON named MaHUYa (6Q8). Now amazingly in the Joseph Smith's book* , HIS Enoch claims to have received a revelation at a place known as "Mahujah" (Moses 7:2; JST-Gen. 7:2) which, (accounting for a variant transliteration scheme) is the name of that SON of Barak'el !
(((LDS "Inspired Version" of Genesis (the first 8 Chapters of which the LDS Church prints as its "Book of Moses")))
Now according to the real Book of Enoch the sons of the Nephilim were killed in the flood, but no place was found for their spirits in heaven so they remained as evil spirits on the earth (1Enoch 15:8-10).
Therefore that SON MaHuYa is now an evil spirit on the earth and his father Barak'el has been speading ANOMIANism with him since the late first century. ( ANTI-LAW or TORAH-LESS-NESS or COMMANDMENTLESSNESS or ie. ANTI-NOMIA )
According to Smith himself his revelations begun when two (unnamed) "bright" personages appeared to him and one identifying the other as his SON and encouraging Smith to listen to him. (Joseph Smith- History 1:15-18).
The fact that the Book of Mormon SEEMS to have an underlying Hebrew text demonstrates that Smith was not the author and that the Book of Mormon was inspired. But it was not inspired by YHWH, it was inspired by the Nefilim in order to spread ANOMIANISM in the earth. It was no problem for the Nefilim to "fake" a certain level of apparent "authenticity" in the Book of Mormon by implanting a "fake" Hebrew substratum.
This "fake" Hebrew substratum, coupled with the ANOMIAN teaching of the Book of Mormon is true evidence of its Demonic inspiration.
